 MT-BioMethan GmbH was founded in May, 2008. The company, originally an offshoot from the former gas treatment business division of MT-Energie Co. KG, supplies a complete range of services in gas refinement and feeding. The facilities themselves are manufactured in series with three parallel manufacturing stations at our new location in Zeven. We have the combined knowhow and experience of thirty specialists from the energy industry, plant construction and process as well as chemical engineering on our staff.
MT-BioMethan GmbH gas refinement technology is based on the BCM-Process® designed by DGE Dr. Ing. Günther Engineering GmbH based in Wittenberg, a non-pressurised amine washing process that refines biogas to natural gas grade for feeding into the gas supply network. Unlike conventional refinement processes, the BCM-Process® excels in extremely low methane losses of less than 0.1% while reaching very high methane concentrations in excess of 99%.
Apart from refinement technology manufacturing, our range of services at MT-BioMethan GmbH extends to feeding and transport technologies involved in gas refinement. These include individual components such as conditioning, compression, drying, volumetric measurement, quality measurement and odorisation; therefore, with the technology of MT-BioMethan we directly address biogas plant operators as well as energy providers.
