The gas feed system located downstream from the gas processing system conditions the bio-methane to the qualities required by the DVGW (German Association of the Gas and Water Industry) Worksheets G260, G262 and G685.
Before it can be fed into a natural gas network as replacement gas, the furnace-related properties of the bio-methane produced must be adjusted exactly to the quality of the gas network it is being fed into. The required conditioning is carried out by adding air or liquefied gas and dehumidified and desulfurized biogas.

A feed system consists of the following components:
- Quality measurement of the bio-methane
- Conditioning of the bio-methane (may be necessary due to the addition of liquefied gas)
- Compression (two redundant compressors)
- Drying
- Process gas chromatograph, approved for calibrated measurement of the calorific value, the standard density and the percentage of carbon dioxide
- Odor system: Gases of the public gas supply according to the DVGW Worksheet G 260 must have a sufficient odor (warning odor). If this is not the case, they must be odorized.
